GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

Rules for submission and evaluation of articles: REM – Revista de Estudos do Mar

Submission, structure and format

The article submitted to REM must be unpublished. i.e., it cannot have been or is being submitted to another journal, in Portugal or in any other country. Works published in annals of scientific meetings, such as congresses, seminars, symposia, etc. are considered unpublished. Therefore, REM encourages authors of these works to format them in the standard of articles and submit them for evaluation. Articles submitted to REM will, preliminarily, be examined by the Editor as to their suitability for the journal's mission and objectives. If they meet this condition, they will be evaluated by the system of blind evaluation by peers (double blind review) by at least two consultants from the Journal's Body of Reviewers (referees).
