Editorial Status
I – The REM – Journal of Marine Studies, also known by the abbreviated forms of REM or Revista REM, is a periodical publication. Publisher's property: Ponteditora.
II – REM intends to disseminate current knowledge and put into perspective the way in which human activities impact marine health, promoting opportunities to minimize the risk of public and environmental health.
III – The editorial line of REM focuses on the area of Marine and Aquatic Science, exploring disciplines such as biology, geology, among others.
IV – The REM's mission is to promote science in order to stimulate research and the elaboration of studies in the CPLP and Portuguese-speaking Diaspora countries.
V – The REM is published every six months, on paper, in Portugal and, when justified, in the CPLP, being disseminated in the rest of the world through the Internet.
VI – REM will have approximately 80 to 100 pages in A4 format and a print run of less than 1000 copies.
VII – The REM is intended for national or foreign teachers, researchers and academics.
VIII – REM has a technical and scientific editorial staff, open to academics, researchers and professionals from different organizations and companies related to maritime and environmental research.
IX – REM publishes original and review academic and scientific articles.
X – REM publishes in Portuguese, and may exceptionally present articles in another language, as long as it is an internationally recognized language in academic and professional circles, such as in English.
XI – REM intends to promote the exchange of ideas, experiences and projects between authors and editors, contributing to the scientific reflection of the sea and its connection with society.
XII - REM is committed to ensuring respect for the deontological principles and professional ethics of journalists, as well as for the good faith of readers, pursuant to Article 17(1) of the Press Law.
