EDITORIAL STATUTE OF RTIC – Journal of Technologies, Information and Communication
I - RTIC – Journal of Technologies, Information and Communication, also known by the abbreviated form of RTIC, is a periodical publication. Publisher's Property: Ponteditora.
II– RTIC intends to disseminate current knowledge and envisage how technology impacts the media, highlighting its factors and results.
III – The editorial line of RTIC focuses on the field of Technologies, exploring its development, over time, as a means of global interaction.
IV – RTIC’s mission is to promote research and the elaboration of studies in Portugal and in the Portuguese-speaking diaspora around the world.
V- RTIC is published every six months, online, in Portuguese and English, and is disseminated throughout the world through the Internet.
VI - RTIC will be approximately 80 to 180 pages long.
VII - RTIC is, from its inception to the present, published in an online version.
VIII- RTIC is aimed at national or foreign teachers, researchers, students and professionals.
IX- RTIC presents a technical and scientific editorial board, open to academics, researchers, professionals and executives from organizations and companies related to technological research.
X - RTIC publishes academic and scientific original and review articles.
XI – The approval of manuscripts for publication is regulated by criteria of relevance, interest, scientific quality and respect for the plurality of perspectives. RTIC assumes itself as independent of any political, ideological or economic power, and is guided by criteria of rigor, exemption and inclusion.
XII - RTIC publishes in Portuguese as well as in English. Each article includes the title, abstract and keywords in both languages.
XIII - RTIC edits regular issues and special issues, entrusted to accredited researchers from the respective areas of expertise (guidelines for reviewers), under the scrutiny and approval of the Editorial Team. All collaboration is subject to a demanding selection and review process based on peer-review and two-way, peer-blind and open peer review.
XIV – Aiming at the highest standards of ethics in publishing, the RTIC Editorial Team inspires its Code of Ethics in the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE, Committee on Ethics in Publications, version of March 2011). This code defines the responsibilities of all parties involved in the act of publishing RTIC.
XV- RTIC intends to promote the exchange of ideas, experiences and projects between authors, contributing for reflection and research in Technology, Information and Communication and for its connection with society.
XVI- RTIC provides the Standards for submission and publication of articles and an annual list of reviewers that collaborate in the scientific refereeing of the manuscripts.
XVII - The Editorial Team of RTIC is committed to ensuring respect for the deontological principles and professional ethics of journalists, as well as the good faith of readers, under the terms of paragraph 1 of article 17 of the Press Law.
The constant search for high quality and rigor translates into the inclusion of RTIC – Journal of Technologies, Information and Communication in international indexing bases, such as: Crossref – ACCESS; DRJI - Directory of Research Journals Indexing -ACCESS; Sherpa/Romeo –ACCESS.
