EDITORIAL STATUS 

I — Identity

e3 – Journal of Economics, Business and Entrepreneurship in the community of Portuguese-speaking countries (e3) is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to publishing and disseminating original research in the fields of economics, management and entrepreneurship. The journal is owned by Ponteditora and is published in open access, in digital format.

II — Mission

e3 aims to promote the advancement of scientific and applied knowledge, encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue and the dissemination of research outcomes relevant to academic, professional and institutional communities at national and international levels.

III — Scope and content

The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, essays and book reviews in the areas of business education, business, technologies, mathematics and statistics, entrepreneurship and sustainability, finance and accounting, leadership and management, marketing and communication, as well as strategy and development.
Editorial procedures and evaluation criteria are detailed in the journal’s Peer Review Policy and Code of Ethics.

IV — Publication model

The journal is published biannually in digital format and provides immediate open access to all content, without embargo periods or access restrictions.

V — Editorial governance

e3 has an editorial and scientific board composed of national and international scholars with recognized expertise in the journal’s thematic areas. The journal ensures editorial independence and is guided by principles of scientific rigor, transparency and inclusion.

VI — Types of contributions

e3 publishes original research articles, review articles, essays and book reviews. Regular and special issues may be published, with the Editor-in-Chief maintaining full responsibility for editorial oversight.

VII — Peer review

All submissions undergo a peer review process conducted by at least two independent reviewers. The detailed procedures and criteria are described in the journal’s Peer Review Policy.

VIII — Ethics and integrity

The journal adheres to internationally recognized ethical standards in scholarly publishing, including the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Responsibilities of authors, reviewers and editors are defined in the journal’s Code of Ethics. The journal also adopts transparency principles regarding the use of artificial intelligence and automated tools.

IX — Language policy

The journal publishes articles in Portuguese, English and Spanish. All manuscripts must include title, abstract and keywords in English and in the language of the manuscript.

X — Transparency and policies

Author guidelines, editorial procedures, ethical standards and other publication policies are publicly available on the journal’s website to ensure transparency and accountability.

XI — Open Science and Research data

e3 – Journal of Economics, Business and Entrepreneurship in the CPLP encourages transparency and reproducibility in research. Authors are encouraged to deposit research data supporting their findings in trusted open repositories whenever possible and to include a Data Availability Statement in their manuscripts.

The journal supports the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable). When data cannot be shared due to ethical, legal or privacy restrictions, authors should clearly state the reasons in the manuscript.

XII — Digital preservation

The journal ensures the long-term preservation of its digital content through recognized archiving and preservation systems.

All articles are published under an open access model. Copyright and licensing terms are specified on the journal’s website.
